3D Maps
Overview
The 3D Map gives a spatial, real-time view of a location's floor plan, showing assets, devices, and beacons in their true physical position within the space. It complements the standard 2D floor plan view with a more immersive, walkable perspective — useful for larger sites where physical layout and context matter.
What You Can See
- Real-time positions of assets, devices, and beacons rendered directly on the 3D floor plan
- Sensor ranges and coverage areas, so you can see at a glance what each device monitors
- Data overlays, such as a heatmap layer showing temperature, air quality, or occupancy across the space
- Multiple floors or buildings, with the ability to switch between levels
Example: a heatmap overlay showing sensor data across a floor plan.
Navigating the 3D Map
- Rotate — click and drag to change the viewing angle
- Zoom — scroll to zoom in or out
- Select — click on an asset, device, or beacon marker to view its details
- Switch floors — use the floor selector if the building has multiple levels
What You Can Do With 3D Maps
- View the real-time position of assets, devices, and beacons in 3D
- Overlay sensor data (heatmap or other layers) to monitor conditions across a space
- Switch between multiple floors or buildings
- Click any element to jump to its detail view
